Xabier Vázquez-Campos
Xabier is an environmental microbial ecologist with experience in topics such biomining, biodegradation, radionuclide-microbe interactions (including fungi) or fungal genomics.
In 2017, he joined the NSW Systems Biology Initiative at UNSW as bioinformatician funded by NCRIS to engage in collaborative projects with other research groups.
Xabier has special interest in extremophiles, phylogenetics, Archaea, geomicrobiology and any kind of microbial oddities.
